This week’s player interview is forward Gary Eastlack. This is Gary’s first year with the team and he is from Mantua, New Jersey. If you Google two way forward, a picture of Gary would appear next to the definition. He is physical, can put up points, and defend/forecheck. With that said, here is this week’s interview:
1: How did you get started in hockey?
GE: When I was young and I was always active in sports. One day I decided I wanted to play hockey. Didn’t actually start play until I was 13, but from that point there was no looking back.
2: Who would you say has helped you the most grow as a player?
GE: My mom has been there all the way for me. I know her letting me move away when I was 16 to play hockey was so tough for her, and through it all she was always on my side.
3: Who is your favorite player and team?
GE: Nikita Kucherov and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
4: What has been your favorite moment so far this season?
GE: That feeing of coming onto the ice against Louisville was one of a kind.
5: What do you like to do in your free time?
GE: Nothing in particular. I’m always down to do anything that may be going on. I’m a big golf guy, but haven’t had time to go out here yet.
6: What is your favorite thing about Lexington?
GE: There’s so much food options. Anything you’re in the mood for, you can find.
7: What would you like to say to the Big Blue Nation?
GE: The support is unbelievable. We all appreciate it. This is the beginning, big things are on the way.
I’d like to thank Gary for taking the time to do this. The team is back of the ice this weekend for a three game road trip. The team will be taking part in the 2018 ACCHL Stephen Russell Memorial Tournament. They will play Navy, Georgetown, and St. Joseph’s. You can see the times for each game below. If we find out any broadcast information we will get it out on Twitter.
