Cats Sweep Tennessee in Blowout Win

Last night Kentucky completely throttled the Vols in Knoxville by a score of 15-0. This moves the Cats to 4-0-0 on the season, leading up to a big rivalry weekend home and home series with Louisville. Kentucky has won their first four games of the season by a combined score of 37-1.

Eric Williams recorded his third straight shutout of the season, as UK continues to play amazing defense and in the net for this early part of the season.

The offensive firepower is not to be overshadowed by the team’s defense. It has been equally as great thus far in the season.

Last night the Cats would score five goals in the first. Gary Eastlack would score twice in the period, with Jake Deemer, Mikey Liszka, and JR Poole all adding a goal as well.

In the second the team would net seven goals. Blake Riley and Captain Jimmy Kasch would both score two in the period. Eastlack, Poole, and Liszka would all add one each in the period. Eastlack completing the hat trick.

The third would see Eastlack score his 4th and 5th goals of the game and Zach Bartuce would add one for good measure.

Kentucky will be home Friday night for the first game of the Louisville series. This will be the only home game until late October because the team has a four game road swing and an off week before returning home on October 20th against Dayton. Plus with this being a huge rivalry game, so everyone needs to be there and be loud. Game is at midnight at the Lexington Ice Center. Come early, be loud, and be proud!
